Exam
#6 and #8 abutments: recurrent decay at the margins. #7 pontic intact. Percussion negative. No mobility. Bitewing confirms decay under the #6 retainer. Probing 3 mm, no bleeding.
Treatment rendered
Old bridge sectioned and removed. Decay excavated on #6 and #8. Abutments reprepared. Final scan taken. Provisional 6-8 bridge relined and cemented with TempBond. Occlusion adjusted. Floss passed under the pontic.
Materials
Local anesthesia 2% lido with 1:100,000 epi, 2 carpules. TempBond NE. Bis-acryl provisional. No posts. No pins.
Post-op
Bite may feel high for 24 hours. If the temp comes off, call. Warm salt water. No sticky food on that side. Patient repeated the instructions back.
Next visit
Lab try-in in two weeks. Shade 2L1.5. Final cement to be decided after fit.
Span confirmed. Treatment plan updated to teeth 6 through 8. Ready for clinician approval.
